The baths were absolutely fantastic and definitely the highlight of our stay! The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was surprisingly spacious, comfortable and really nice. The location was okay and convenient enough for exploring Hakone.
The hotel is quite old and outdated and could really benefit from some renovations. The food was very average and nothing special, but the breakfast was by far the biggest disappointment. It was terrible, with very limited appealing options and disappointing quality. Overall, the dining experience really let the hotel down.

Relax after Tokyo
The staff, dinner menu and the room were all exceptional. The place is up in the mountain, but you can take a shortcut via hotel and the bottom. The peace and quite along with baths were great escape. All who seek traditional Japanese spa escape from busy cities shoudl try it.
