    Pleasantly surprised

    Breakfast was very good, lots of choices and good quality. Room was good, beds a little too soft for our liking though. We didn’t use the facilities as we had just a one night stay but will be staying again hopefully so will definitely make use of them, both gym and pool looked inviting. The bar meal was also very good.

    It was average. Compared to last year, I feel the overall standard has dropped.

    Clean room, linen and bathroom facilities

    Adults pool (over 16s) was too cold to enjoy for longer than 5 mins - it’s autumn/winter heat it up please Food in restaurant way overpriced. Check toiletries in bathroom after every clean and ensure they are always full enough. 2mm of body wash is not enough.

    Overall a pleasant stay with excellent facilities and in a good loacation

    When we complained about the lack of an in-room safe, your duty manager immediately tried to find us a more suitable room.

    We arrived at a room with tired decor, damaged tabletop surfaces, and, most importantly, NO SAFE. We had only a single armchair for 2 persons. Later, after being offered an alternative room with a safe and a fridge, I checked the image in my Booking.com reservation, which clearly showed 2 armchairs. When making the reservation, I ensured I was not selecting a basic room grade. What went wrong?

    The perfect weekend break near to Reading.

    We extended the stay for an extra night, all this was handled smoothly. The room was large and clean and cosy. We loved the pool and facilities. The gym was very busy at the weekend which shows its a good one! We ate in the restaurant one evening and can recommend the fish and chips! We had the hotel breakfast on the last morning and it was a bit pricey but really good.

    Nothing! Everything was great and I'd stay again. Lovely staff.
