    We stayed at the Hampton Inn UN Medical Area because it was in close proximity to our daughter's apartment. We came to assist her to move to a new place close to the hotel. The location is good if you're doing anything at UNMC or in the vicinity. It's a short drive to the Old Market and downtown, too. There are multiple restaurants and bars within a short walk from the hotel.

    We expected more from a Hilton-branded property. On the first two nights of our three night stay, we were awakened in the wee hours of the morning (1am to 3am) by loud construction work going on proximate to the property. If we had been informed that this type of work was going on, we would have stayed elsewhere. In addition, the breakfast selections were less than appetizing. They consisted of pre-processed foods that were not all that tasty. Cut fruit would have been nice, for example. Lastly, we were staying on an upper floor of the building and when we went to shower in the morning, the water pressure was consistently bad, at times cutting off hot water flow entirely. Hard to believe for a property that hasn't even been open two years.
