Disorganized experience that falls short of the Hilton brand standard
Location & Price.
Lack of Communication & Broken Amenities There was a complete absence of hotel information or rules anywhere in my room – nothing in writing, nothing on the TV & nothing available in the lobby. This became a major issue when I encountered a problem & discovered my room phone was completely dead. I had to take the elevator down from the third floor to the lobby just to speak with someone. The front desk attendant was incredibly nonchalant, simply stating, "Oh, some of the phones in the rooms do not work." Guests should absolutely be notified of broken, essential communication tools ahead of time. Room Maintenance & Technology Issues Operating the television was an unnecessary challenge. The room required two separate remotes – one just to control the power & volume & another to change channels – with zero instructions provided. Furthermore, the cabinet hinges enclosing the mini-fridge were broken, causing the door to stay open. I had to watch my step the entire stay to avoid hitting my knees on it. Finally, the bathroom sink had a massive crack running all the way through the shell. While it was sealed & didn't leak, it looked incredibly unappealing & should have been replaced long ago. Housekeeping Standards The cleanliness did not meet expectations. Most concerningly, the "clean" towels in the bathroom had strands of long black hair embedded in them, which was highly unhygienic (especially since I have silver hair).
