  Spacious and well-equipped ground floor apartment

  This is a spacious and well-equipped ground floor apartment in an excellent location in Kos Town. Kitchen The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge freezer, a full cooker with stove, oven and grill, a microwave, a kettle, and a toaster. There are cooking utensils and pans for doing proper self-catering, which was important to us. Living room area The kitchen and living room are all one room. In here there is a big table with a couple of chairs, and a settee that can be used as a third bed. I think the apartment would be cramped for three people, and it would be better to replace the sofa bed with a couple of comfortable chairs instead. In here there is also a large TV and you can log into Netflix etc to watch programmes from home. The aircon in this room is very effective. There are double doors leading to the terrace. Bedroom This is spacious and has a large double bed. We found it a bit hard on our old joints, but otherwise it is a comfortable room. There is a large wardrobe with shelves and drawers built in which has plenty of space for all your stuff - better than a lot of accommodation. The aircon in this room is very effective, and there are double doors to the terrace. Bathroom This room has a shower over a bath. Excellent water pressure, and the solar heated water gets very hot in summer. There's a really good washing machine in the bathroom. We used Google Translate to work out the controls (see photo attached). There is a folding clothes drier on the terrace for drying your washing. All the patio doors to the terrace have glass doors, shutters, and mosquito nets (although the ones in the bedroom have come loose and won't keep mosquitoes out, so best use the glass doors in this room).

  We liked most things, but it might be worth sharing a few tips. Note that the apartment is on the ground floor, but you will need to get up 1 big step to enter the grounds of the property, and a couple of steps to get to the front door. This was okay for us, but worth bearing in mind if you use a wheelchair. You have to put the key into a slot to make the electricity work. That's fine, but at night it means the outdoor lights don't come on until you have already entered the apartment and put the key in the slot. It is quite dark walking up the side of the building and finding the front door without a light! Perhaps the owner could install a solar charged motion-sensor light outside the door to help people get in. Meanwhile, you might find it useful to bring a little torch, or use the torch on your phone, to get in at night. Note that the front door will lock when you close it, so go through the patio doors to access the terrace at night, unless you want to take the key and sit in the dark... Final tips. The kettle stops boiling when the water is hot, but it does not turn off, and will reheat if the water temperature drops. Make sure you switch the kettle off when you have used it, otherwise it will keep reheating even if there is no water in it. If the stove top is locked (it says LO in red letters), switch the electricity off and on to unlock it.

  The location is excellent, with a supermarket just a short walk away. The house is also very clean and well-maintained. Overall, it’s a very convenient and pleasant place to stay.

  Zona molto tranquilla, si dorme bene sia perché non c’è rumore sia per i materassi che sono qualitativi.

  Manca un po di attrezzatura la cucina (nessun macchina di caffè, poche posate, …)

  Die Unterkunft bietet sehr viel Platz für bis zu 3 Personen. Von der Lage her ist sie sehr gut gelegen. Der Strand ist 2min zu Fuß und das Zentrum erreicht man in 10 min zu Fuß.

  Appartamento molto carino ed accogliente, perfettamente attrezzato (con anche lavatrice e vasca da bagno), divano comodo davanti alla televisione.
