  A very pleasant and memorable stay for our family gathering in Garmisch

  The home was large enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 4 adults and 2 children. It was apparent that it was updated with many modern and upscale amenities(and further explained by the friendly owners that happen to come by). It was on a safe and quiet street, and had a nice backyard for kids to play. We were only a 10-15 minute walk into the town of Garmisch, saving us the ordeal of finding, sometimes sparse, parking. There was also a nice walking path just down the street.

  The property manager met us on our arrival to hand us keys and quickly go over the house basics. We were taken aback by the lack of the basic items- body wash/soap and shampoo&conditioner. There was minimal hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Upon requiring, it was explained that this is what is provided for "home" rentals. We have rented many homes in the US and Europe and have not experienced this. Plus, this was not mentioned in the list home amenities, so we could have been prepared. This is very inconvenient for guests, especially with children and if they arrive at night and can't get to the stores for supplies(stores are closed on Sundays). Also, minutes after arrival, my daughter was walking down the wooden curved stairway and fell. Luckily, she was only bruised. The railing is on the narrow side of the stairway(where she fell) and there should be an additional railing on the wall where the stairs are wider and easier to navigate.

  Perfect for groups – great sauna, parking, and walkable location

  Location – The property is within walking distance of both the city center and the nearest ski lifts, yet very quiet at night. Car park – Parking is very convenient. You can easily park up to three cars: one in the garage, one in front of the garage, and one in front of the house. Kitchen – The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing your own meals. It includes a filter coffee machine, oven, microwave, and all the necessary utensils. Bathrooms – There are three bathrooms, two of which have toilets. The sound system in the bathrooms was a great touch and worked very well. Sauna – The sauna is excellent. It heats up very quickly, maintains the temperature well, and comfortably fits five people. Bedrooms – The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There are plenty of closets and drawers for storage.

  Kitchen equipment – The Teflon pan seems to be at the end of its lifecycle and could be replaced.
