    Why they didn’t get a 10 was a member of staff very brusque at breakfast . We are on holiday we are having a leisurely time we do not need our plates removed as soon as we have finished and not the table . Nor do you need to lay tables whilst we are in the dining room relaxing for the next meal. We are admiring the surroundings, the decor the music of which all was dampened by the cutlery tray .

    A perfect weekend with great friends - making memories to last

    Beautiful hotel in fabulous location. The staff were great and we had such a wonderful weekend. Food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble

    Well worth the long trip from Wiltshire!

    Lovely,remote,but cosy and comfortable base for our exploration of The Lakes.

    Range of wine prices - but good 😊
