Quiet location, beautiful property, helpful host--great for both short-term or longer stays!
We stayed in Helena’s beautiful house during September 2026, which was a treat! This 3-story house in a quiet uphill Pinhao neighborhood is perfect for either a couple or a family. Everything from a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds to a pool table and hot tub, comfortable reading nooks, a secluded ground-floor patio, balconies on two floors (perfect for wine hour!), and a washing machine. Helena’s house is spotless and beautifully well-decorated, and congenial helpful host Helena prepared our magnificent daily breakfast with a smile. We were at home in this spacious house while we enjoyed wine-tasting and a boat ride on the Douro River. What a perfect location! Thank you Helena for your prompt communication and congeniality!
Be aware that Helena’s house is a short walk from the train station by going uphill, using a combination of road and stairs. A brief taxi ride from the train station to the house is recommended if possible.

Traumhafte Unterkunft mit herzlicher Gastgeberin und toller Aussicht
Wunderschöne große Unterkunft mit einem tollen Ausblick! Wir waren zu sechst unterwegs und es hat einfach alles perfekt gepasst: von Helenas herzlicher Gastfreundschaft, über ihr tolles Frühstück bis zu den großen Zimmern und dem Whirlpool und Billard Tisch... Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und haben jede Minute in Helenas Haus geliebt! Das Haus liegt etwas oberhalb im Ort, mit viel Gepäck würde ich ggf. ein Taxi nehmen aber mit Rucksäcken und wenn man gut zu Fuß ist überhaut kein Problem!
Selbst wenn ich wollte, würde mir nichts einfallen :-)

Helena’s house was nothing short of extraordinary. Everything about Helena’s was great - comfortable rooms, plenty of space, well stocked kitchen and lovely views. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. We very much enjoyed our stay.

It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful house!
Overall every thing was excellent! Helena prepared a wonderful breakfast! awe had read the other reviews on the breakfast and it certainly did not disappoint! We felt very pampered to have someone come in a prepare a wonderful breakfast for us. The house is huge and we had plenty of space! I would definitely come back again!

Séjour parfait.
La maison se situe sur les hauteurs de Pinhao, à 10 mn à pied du port et des restaurants. Elle est hyper confortable, chaque chambre occupée étant équipée d'une salle de bains. Seule une douche ne fonctionnait pas. Cette habitation offrait même un jacuzzi intérieur et un billard américain en parfait état, de quoi se détendre. Le petit déjeuner nous a été servi à notre heure, et était copieux et bien chaud. Une dame est venue nous ouvrir et nous a expliqué toutes les conditions d'utilisation du logement avec une extrême gentillesse.
