    A beautifully built house in beautiful Puglia spoilt by bad equipment and cheap furniture

    This was a fabulously renovated trulli in a stunning area of Puglia. The house was built/renovated to a high-specification, the pool is beautiful and the outside dining terrace charming and comfortable.

    Furniture and equipment were way below standard. A change of towels would cost €150. Mattresses didn't fit the beds so moved around or hung over the sides, the dishwasher didn't work despite visits from the handyman (eight people in the group so a lot of washing up by hand!), the kitchen was done on the cheap, worktops were marked, oven old and stained. The worst aspect was the internet which was non-existent in most of the house and worked occasionally in some parts. In an emergency there would be no way of getting help (ambulance, police, doctor) - there is no landline and zero mobile signal. There was rain on some days, but none of this could be blamed on the weather. There was no manual, no map to the house (which was not on the grid), we had to ask the check-in manager about rubbish disposal - who was always available on WhatsApp but effectively a conduit to the handyman. We wrote to the HelloPuglia manager (twice) but he didn't bother to reply.

    Beautiful off grid location.

    Lovely quiet location. Huge pool. Beautiful building and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of parking available. Large garden. Set in beautiful green surroundings. Perfect for walking and cycling. Long extensive Cycle route less than a mile away.

    WIFI was not consistent and only available in parts of the house. There is also often very little if any phone service on mobile phones.

    great place to stay with friends and family

    location was very good to visit the pugla region

    the internet was not working so good and the A/C condenced pretty much
