Great resort at the beach
Wonderful accomodation right at the beach, really comfortable & clean rooms. The host & staff was really nice & supportive, and the food was delicious. 100% recommended!

Simply amazing
I cannot rate our stay highly enough we were literally a few steps from the beach, paje is a 40 min walk along the beach so easy to get to if you want more restaurants and bars Our room was lovely and the staff were all simply amazing and we will miss them all. The Karoke on a Tuesday was the best! As was the BBQ night honestly so glad we came here we loved our two weeks here - thank you so much Helwas beach

Great location in Bwejuu. We stayed in a queen suite with full sea view. Great beach front location. Registration is at Mayai Ocean Breeze 30 metres away but luggage is transported for you. Good sized clean and comfortable room with facilities as advertised. Cleaning is by request at Mayai reception. Staff very pleasant and Anthony was very helpful. Good breakfast at Mayai with plenty of choice, even for a 9 night stay. Bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, and would recommend Simba on the main road. Helwas bar is good and also has small menu, ideal for lunch if you don't want to walk anywhere. Would recommend.
Limited number of beach beds with shade which wasn't a problem as Helwas wasn't fully occupied in August but might be an issue at busier times.

A wonderful stay
We had a very pleasant stay at Helwas Beach Resort and really enjoyed our time here. The atmosphere is relaxing, the people are always kind and welcoming, and the location is perfect for enjoying the beautiful Zanzibar coastline. A special mention definitely goes to the breakfast, which was fantastic! A great way to start every day, with delicious food and plenty of choice. But what really made our stay even more enjoyable was the kindness and friendliness of the staff. A very special thank you to the lovely girls at the reception, especially Irene and Siria. They were always welcoming, helpful and ready to assist us with a smile. Thank you to everyone at Helwas Beach Resort for making us feel welcome and for contributing to a beautiful stay in Zanzibar. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant holiday surrounded by the beauty of the island!
