Wish we booked somewhere else
Bed and couches were comfortable, clean towels were available, cutlery and plates were clean and it was in a safe location
There was only one toilet roll provided for our stay, which was particularly difficult for me as someone with a bowel condition. There was also no bin bag provided, which made it difficult to dispose of rubbish properly. There was also no hand wash which wasn’t ideal! Washing our hands with fairy liquid after the toilet. The lodge itself was very dusty, which triggered my partners allergies. The cleanliness was particularly disappointing, as after walking around the floor barefoot, the bottoms of our feet were black. The hot tub also had visible dead skin, dirt and slugs in it, which made us question how thoroughly it had been cleaned and maintained. To make matters worse, we had no hot water in the morning, which was a very inconvenient way to end our stay. We couldn’t have a shower and our swimming clothing hadn’t dried over night because the radiators weren’t on. I was ill with the flu so being in a cabin 16c wasn’t great. It just ruined the ending of our stay. I brought it up to the reception on the way out and they just hummed and said management will take a look. The WiFi was terrible and me and my partner both work online so we both struggled to work. When we bought the overnight stay we were under the impression that the lodge had a lake view. But instead, our hottub was in a car park and wasn’t private at all
