Awful
The building
We booked a Deluxe Room with Shower at High Barn as it had high ratings for a quiet night’s sleep before a long day at Goodwood Revival. The host informed us (without explanation) that we were being moved to the self-catering apartment. Then just two days before we were due to arrive, we were informed that we were being moved back to the room we had previously booked. The phone number quoted on Booking.com, etc was invalid. We were whisked straight up to our room without being shown the dining room or anything else. In the bedroom there was just three earl grey teabags. On asking the host for some ordinary tea he gave me just two teabags! I did have to ask for more later that evening. We had a shower and settled down for a quiet early night’s sleep which was impossible. From downstairs a female loud excitable non-stop voice prevented any sleep for hour it droned on. It was impossible for either of us to sleep so I got dressed and went downstairs. I found a girl wearing a hoodie and earphones talking very loudly on a computer. I told her that we were trying to sleep, she did tone it down, but we could still hear her for another hour. This should never have been allowed with no sign of the host to complain too. We did both fall off only to be woke by a dog barking in the house. In the house rules it states there are to be no PETS!!!!!The decision was made to walk out early the next morning and not return.
