  Fabulous apartment.

  For starters, the property was located in the vibrant beating heart of Genova, accessible on foot to many of its most interesting attractions whether it's shopping, the historic centre and museums, the port and we think as importantly, the train station (Brignole not Piazza Principe, remember that). The apartment is owner managed and the operator, Hilde, is as good and accommodating as any host you could ever wish for. She welcomed us herself on arrival, unlike most places who let you into apartments by remote and digitally. This apartment comes, drum roll is appropriate here, with its own private and spacious rooftop terrace (accessible by a flight of stairs just above the apartment) offering a magnificent buffet of sun, breeze and views of the surrounding neighborhood, the rest of the city beyond and the mountains. The apartment itself is cozy yet spacious, the double paned windows shutting off the sound of the city below when closed, but breezy and generous with fresh air when opened. All windows are equipped with bug screens which played a critical function for us as my wife was super-reactive to mosquito bites although mosquitos or flies were not too numerous and bothersome to me personally. Being on the top floor, the two person elevator was a big help especially if you're exhausted by the days walk or are coming home with a few essential groceries. Coffee shops and restaurants abound in the immediate vicinity and within two minutes of leaving the front doors of the building. People of Genova are very friendly and accommodating to visitors.

  Wir wurden überaus herzlich von Hilde begrüßt.Sie hatte für uns sogar Focaccia besorgt, die hervorragend waren. Die Wohnung hat alles was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt braucht,wir haben nichts vermisst und sie entspricht den Fotos. Das Bett war herrlich bequem. Das Beste ist natürlich die große Dachterrasse.Der Zugang ist über das Treppenhaus,nur ein paar Stufen hoch. Wir hatten Verzögerungen bei unserer Anreise. Aber Hilde war sehr verständnisvoll und flexibel. Eine wunderbare Gastgeberin.

  Will definitely stay here next time

  This house is everything we could dream about planning the trip to Genova. The location is perfect for everything: going for a city walk, transport to Portofino, public transport to the beaches, restaurants. Hilda is the cutest person and was always in touch for any questions. A separate admiration is for the terrace 😍 it’s the perfect spot to finish the day

  Największy atut mieszkania to bez wątpienia gospodyni Hilde! Bardzo miła, pomocna i uprzejma. Samo mieszkanie jest w znakomitej lokalizacji, wszędzie jest blisko - sklepy i restauracje pod nosem, do dworca 15 minut spacerem. Znakomity prywatny taras na dachu, do którego przechodzi się dodatkowymi schodami z klatki schodowej po wyjściu z mieszkania - idealny na lampkę wina po całym dniu albo opalanie lub śniadanie. Samo mieszkanie jest bardzo czyste i przestronne, a kuchnia jest w pełni wyposażona włącznie z ekspresem do kawy.

  Hilde's House has very convenient location close to the Brignole station, the main shopping street Via XX Septembre and Via Corso Italia, which is a great place for a nice stroll by the sea all the way to Boccadasse. At the same time, it's in a modern and quiet neighborhood, I felt lucky for choosing this place. Hilde was very kind and thoughtful host. She gave us lots of recommendations and answered our questions. I chose the apartment for the terrace which is a private terrace on the rooftop that I really enjoyed with a glass of wine in the evening. There was a washing machine, which was convenient for a 4-day stay.

  As I was cooking, I thought the kitchen needed more cutlery and sharp knives. Also, there was no hairdryer, or I didn't find one.
