Fabulous property, fabulous host, fabulous breakfast in a beautiful part of the Lake District!
Hill Crest Country Guest House was so comfortable with a spacious room. The bed was very comfortable. The property is in a very quiet rural location with little to no traffic passing the front of the property allowing us to open a window for fresh air overnight. We also loved being able to star gaze with no light pollution at all. Jane is a super host and is very attentive, and breakfast is a culinary treat! When we arrived, Jane offered a cream tea which was served in the conservatory where we overlooked the rear garden and a lovely view across the valley. We loved the peace and quiet away from the bustle of the nearby towns. We will certainly be back and would not hesitate in recommending Hill Crest.
There is nothing to not like about this property.

A perfect stay to wind down after days exploring the lakes.
Was everything you cross your fingers for when away. Double bed I had was comfy and didn't have that annoying hill in the middle like most double beds. Water pressure was good. Plenty of information about local attractions and walks. Host was amazing and the eggs benny for breakfast was the best (a standard most restaurants still struggle to reach). Wonderful view from the breakfast/lounge areas. Plenty of storage space for clothes/etc in the bedroom.
There is some slight traffic noise (the room I had wasn't facing the road so very minor for me) and if you're downstairs you can hear any guests upstairs stomping around, so if a light sleeper bring earplugs or white/environmental noise. There is room for all vehicles (so long as no monster trucks) but does require careful and considerate parking.
