    Fantastic cottage on the site - very comfortable for 6 of us. Huge site with lots to explore which was very quiet in October. Cottage was clean, had everything we needed.

    Great stay in the Lakes

    Our lodge was nicely decorated and felt very cosy. There was plenty of space for all of us (2 adults, our baby and our little dog). The welcome pack for us and our dog was a lovely touch. The site is peaceful and quiet which is exactly what we wanted (rather than a loud busy Butlins-esque site), and is very conveniently located for exploring the Lakes and surrounding areas.

    The electricity cut out completely in the middle of the night, our baby woke up crying because of the cold, but luckily we were able to find the breakers outside and restore power. It was quite difficult to find our lodge when we arrived on site - we couldn't spot a map on arrival, couldn't find any staff, and couldn’t contact the site on the phone/website due to poor signal and no internet. We drove round the whole site before eventually finding someone who directed us to our lodge; we also then found a map, although this was in the middle of the site, and we felt it was quite small and hard to read (would be nearly impossible to see from the car in bad weather!). Would be great if a map could be provided via email or text message before check in, along with the access instructions.

    We had a lovely stay

    Great location and a lovely site. The beds were super comfortable and the apartment had all of the equipment we needed. The view from our window was beautiful we loved waking up overlooking the lake.

    We had black mould in the ensuite bathroom which meant we were uncomfortable using it for the first day. There was also a fusty smell. Luckily we had two bathrooms so didn’t affect us too much. We contacted the site to notify them of the mould and they attended the same day to investigate and sort it out. Other than this the apartment was lovely and clean.
