The property was beautiful and so well maintained, comfortably tucked away in the perfect spot to view an early sunrise or gorgeous sunset. There were many amenities, and I appreciated the beautiful step in shower that was a thoughtful accommodation for people with a physical disability.

Friendly & comfortabe stay
Addison was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us options for breakfast, continental vs. full (extra cost for the latter), which was nice to have a choice. He even went out of his way to help us with an emergency while we were in the area. The house and beds were comfortable, and the place was quiet. Exactly what we needed.

The Hole in the Wall Getaway made for a perfect stay in Columbus.
Big Addison was very welcoming and accommodating, and with clear instructions and good signage throughout. We used both bedrooms, and they were spacious and comfortable. There is also a spacious living and lounging area, and though we didn't make big use of it, we appreciated the extra space. And the comfortable sitting and TV room was excellent for watching the sunrise. Outside, the front porch was good for watching the sunset, and around the corner were additional outside lounging areas, to just sit, listen and watch the birds and even play darts. The kitchen was clean and accessible. A big added feature was a 12-top self-guided tour of Columbus developed and provided by Addison that vividly traces the attack of Pancho Villa on the village in 1916. It includes several historic sites as well as Pancho Villa State Park and the railroad museum. He also offers a guided tour. Perfect for those interested in history like we are (my wife is a university history professor)! He also provides recommendations of places to eat in Columbus, and of the Pink Store across the border in Puerto Palomas. Just an overall excellent and comfortable stay!
Our only regret is that we couldn't stay at the Hole in the Wall Getaway longer and visit further with Addison, as we wanted to get an early start on the places to see in Columbus and across the border.
