  Our hosts - Toma and Maja - were fantastic. Super friendly, helpful and ensured we knew how everything worked, including the extremely handy parking spot by Brela beach. The house was super comfy and a good size for our family of 5 and for what it offered, was really great value. It features a lovely, cosy and very private courtyard out the front (doors from kitchen / dining area open onto it) with comfy seating, dining area, shade umbrella and glimpses of the sparkling Adriatic. The house itself was comfortable for us, good air con in (except bathrooms which is totally fine and the master bedroom has a ceiling fan rather than aircon, and a door with security grill so you can leave it open but still be secure). Washing machine and outside drying rack as so helpful with our family laundry. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped and we did a mix of self catering and eating out (all breakfasts and some lunches and dinners at the house, some lunches and dinners at nearby restaurants) which worked well and more than feasible with the facilities. The beach is a 4 min drive and the parking spot is so so helpful. We spent hours at the main beaches, and then went to the quieter beaches around the corner which were lovely. The Adriatic sea was amazing, warm and refreshing, sparkling and clear, lots of fish for snorkelling and we loved it so much. Beaches had fine pebbles, not the big pebbles you find at Brighton beach and similar. We went without water shoes a couple of times and managed, then got water shoes which made it more comfortable and loads of shops on the beachfront sell them at a decent price.
