A great location with an easy walk to the city, though the 30 deg. days of our stay made it harder!
The house was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped and our host was extremely attentive and helpful, providing a fan for each bedroom in an unusually hot week.
The only downside was the lack of a washing machine for the 7 of us, but we knew that before we came. The parking at the side of the house is almost impossible...our car is small but could barely fit. Removing the brick pillar would help!

All very easy with communications. Picked up code at owners nearby pub after paying cash deposit, parked up one of our cars there and enjoyed a few beers in pleasant atmosphere before walking to the property. Property plenty big enough for our party of 8 on a veterans weekend, but would also be perfect for famillies. Property is beautiful, clean, very comfortable and fully equipped for ease of cooking, relaxing, sleeping and washing. Walked into york each day, only 20 minutes max, so location also perfect. Parking at property accommodates just one small car but parking on road is free all over the weekend otherwise can park cars at pub if owner aware this is needed, as only a short walk. Had a brilliant weekend in York and at property. Deposit was paid back within a couple of days.
