    Cheap and not so cheerful

    Close to the motorway. Breakfast buffet was good with warm food.

    Very tired looking interior decor. Stayed here before a few years ago and doesn’t look like anything been done to it. Surprised as it’s a popular hotel for weddings. If you stay on a Saturday night and there’s a wedding on expect a lot of noise to waft up to your room. Tried ringing reception around midnight to ask how long the event was likely to last but no one answers the phone

    The staff were excellent, food was very good, rooms were slightly dated, but clean

    Beds were extremely hard. We was given a room that was above an event, we the music being extremely loud and vibrating, but upon phoning reception, they changed our room within minutes, to a quiet room.

    Had good over ight stay there did very friendly staff. As I was staying woth my little dog and had to pay an extra £15 would have been nice if they had supplied 2 dog bowls in room. Was a bit lonely sitting by myself having my dinner in the reception area as had dog with me who is very well behaved and would have just laid down under table.
