    The room was large, clean, and well laid out, and the staff were excellent.

    The internet connection was poor. Also, I know that Holiday Inn is American, but if they are going to operate in Canada they should play something other than Fox News and U.S. footbal on the TVs in the breakfast room.

    Breakfast was good, and the staff working in that area was excellent 10/10.

    On October 4, 2026, prior to the 11:00 a.m. check-out time, I went to the front desk to request a one-hour extension. The receptionist agreed and confirmed it was fine. (Though it took me less than an hour) However, when I returned to my room and tried to swipe my keycard at 10:55 a.m., I was locked out. This was incredibly frustrating because my wife was in the bathroom and couldn't open the door for me. Going all the way back down to the lobby was a major inconvenience, especially since someone was already inside the room. It was very disappointing that instead of extending my check-out time as promised, the front desk had already deactivated both of our access cards. This felt like a very rude and unprofessional way to treat paying guests.
