    Good location and comfortable room, but serious issues with billing

    The hotel is in a good location, and the room was very comfortable and spacious.

    Unfortunately, our experience was significantly affected by serious issues with unexpected additional charges to my credit card. On two separate occasions, the hotel charged additional amounts beyond the room rate and the deposit specified in the Booking.com reservation conditions. The reception staff seemed either uninterested or unable to explain why these additional charges were being made. The only reassurance they could offer was that, in the end, we would only be charged the amount stated on Booking.com. I contacted the hotel through the Booking.com app, but it took two days to receive a response. They explained that the additional charge was an accidental pre-authorization that had supposedly been cancelled. However, even eight days after the transaction, the funds had still not been released back to my card. While the location and room itself were good, the lack of transparency, poor communication and unresolved issue with the funds on my card seriously affected our overall experience. Guests should be able to trust that the hotel will handle their payments correctly and provide clear explanations when problems arise.
