    Pleasant but exhausting

    The food was nice. The staff were nice. The area was brilliant in the sense of the nature that was around. The spa facilities and the swimming were excellent.

    The room was clean-ish other than the eyelash on the remote foundation on the bathroom door. Dusting places just from past experience of working in a hotel and cleaning a hotel room. It wasn't quite up to the standards of what I know it should have been. We didn't sleep very well on either of the nights that we were there. They were two weddings going off and to be fair the first night was a lot better than the second night. We were left awake till early hours of the morning due to some of the wedding party being very loud and I'm sure this affected other people saying at the hotel too. They weren't just loud on the evening but during the day too when we were trying to enjoy some girly time in our room and there was, shall we say a kickoff between the bride to be and her daughter which made us very uncomfortable and made us not want to stay in the room so we went out for so many hours. We knew that there would be problems coming later on in the night with children running up and down the hallway clunking their shoes together past midnight and just overall disrespect for other people staying in the hotel. There were no night staff checking the halls or anything to ensure that none of this chaos was occurring when other people in the hotel were trying to sleep. So that is definitely something that should be rectified. We felt like ringing the reception to speak to somebody but then we didn't want to get into any of the drama that was occurring and put ourselves at risk so we just remained quiet and tried to sleep the best we could. We didn't have to check out till 12:00 but because of the situation in the evening and how tired we were we just wanted to have breakfast and go.

    Big and spacious and only real location for Brighouse location
