The location is really good - everything in the center is within walking distance and if you need to go on a further location, there are a few bus stops next to the hotel. The stuff that worked there was polite and helpful. The check-in and check-out are easy and we had the possibility to leave our baggage in the hotel after checking out since our flight was in the evening. The room was spacious and we've booked one with the city view and it did not disappoint. You have free coffee and tea in the lobby and there is a small gym, but I cannot say a lot about it, since I did not use it.
Worth mentioning is that I stayed in the hotel during the Chicago Marathon week - this could have an impact on the price. Overall, the price was really high (for european standards) for 8 nights. After staying in a few "by Hilton" hotels, this one does not live up to its name. The breakfast is served in plastic dishes. Breakfast options were okay (even though there were no vegetables in sight), but during the Marathon weekend and on the next Monday, there were too many people (no places to sit) and food was always missing (only one staff member was filling the empty plates). A positive side was the free coffee and tea in the lobby, but the negative was that one time we wanted to get tea in the evening, the water (and coffee) was lukewarm and no tea bags were there. The rooms are cleaned every other day, but other than changing the towels and sheets and taking out the trash, I did not see any other changes done in the room which should have been (for example the did not re-supply the tea bags in the room kitchenette). It is stated that the Wifi is free, but it is free for 7 days, which is not the best thing when you are staying longer than that.
