A very poorly maintained, spacious apartment not suitable for expat families

The ACs in the bedrooms were brand new and working well

    - The street was not included in the address that I was given, which made finding the apartment unnecessarily difficult - Shower head not working on the first night - Socket in wall not working next to the desk - Broken sofa, when you sit on some parts you sink right into it and on others you can feel the wood on your backside - Squeaky doors throughout; I actually ending up greasing them myself to stop waking my kids up the early morning - Broken door handles - No balcony key. There was a lot of back of forth with this and when they finally got someone to try and open the door, he couldn't do it easily! - Very difficult to switch on certain hobs on the cooker - Impossible to switch on the oven without triggering the carbon monoxide alarm - No inverter/back-up power in case of power outage, which happens frequently in summer. This happened to us about three times, and on a few occasions for at least one hour. As a serviced accommodation, they should really have back-up power for guests - Water accumulates in the shower and does not flow towards the drain. The owners have placed a squeegee in the shower that you must use after every wash. If your family members or friends do not do this, you will end up standing in their bath water! - We had an Egyptian family directly above us for a few days and they completely ruined our sleep for about three days. As per the culture, they stayed up all through the night until about 5am and let their kids run and jump around. The sounds made it impossible for us to sleep. When I complained to the hosts, they said they would speak to them, but it did not improve. I eventually had to go up and speak to them myself. Save yourself the hassle, pay a bit more and stay somewhere else, then I suppose this problem will be non-existent.
