A restorative stay for the family to recharge and unplug. A great base to explore Borders/Cumbria.

We loved the outdoor spaces, the secret river garden and the outdoor firepit was great, our girls very much enjoyed this and had fun exploring and roasting marshmallows. The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. A lovely welcome basket was also a lovely surprise.

As the property is right on the A7, you can hear the cars, but the house has good double glazing, so it didn't disturb us at all. Otherwise, everything was very comfortable and relaxing.

    Tranquil cottage

The cottage is gorgeous, very comfortable and homely. The lounge and sofas are large, the beds are extremely comfy and theres a large selection of DVDs to keep you entertained if you want a quiet in day or night. . It's in a very quiet location even though directly off the A7. The gardens have various different areas; paved patio, lawned garden big enough to play football, large firpit area, picnic area and the bonus river and riverside seating area. We absolutely loved our stay and were sad to leave. Thank you Gina and Dean for your hospitality and the use of your lovely property. Our 7 year old grandson has already asked can we return next year, even though a fish in the river nibbled his toe 🤣

    Nothing to dislike.

We had a wonderful three-night stay at this lovely cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We especially loved the thoughtful welcome, some lovely Scottish treats and a welcome card with our names on it. Such a sweet personal touch and a really cute way to make us feel at home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay.

Beautiful cottage ideal for family of 5.

Beautiful, spacious cottage ideal for a family of 5. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable beds and plenty of hot water, perfect after a day of walking or cycling. The outdoor space is fantastic, we loved the garden with firepit and private access to the river.
