Budget accommodation with a local flair
The accommodation offers a genuine "local living" experience. If anyone wants to find out how local residents in the old town live, this is the place to book. The house is located across the river, near the Po Nagar temple and the coast. However, if you think you can go for a swim in the sea, forget about it—the water is only hip-deep even hundreds of meters away from the shore. There are several rooms available in the house. On the ground floor, you will find small double-bed apartments, a kind of reception desk, and—in the room behind it—a shared kitchen and a washing machine for free use. The accommodation provides clean bedding and towels, bathroom supplies, and unlimited drinking water for everyone (which is very unusual for this price category). The host is kind and helpful, though his family practices the electric guitar, sings karaoke, and loves to dance!
The accommodation is not for everyone. While the rooms on the first floor might be better, here is the reality for room 104: there is no window, the humidity is extreme, and the furniture and equipment are very old and worn out. The bathroom door is rusty, water leaks, and the floor is always flooded. Cleanliness is a general issue, especially in the shared kitchen, and cockroaches and lizards are part of the local fauna—found all around the area, the building, and even inside the rooms.
