Good last minute change instead of cancelling

Our booking was changed as the property we originally booked was being sold. The property we actually stayed in was 63 Park Road. Beds were comfortable, nice clean bedding, nice towels and good supplies such as tea, washing up liquid, shower gel etc Lovely outdoor space

A bit run down, sofa was dirty, carpet had tears. Drains in the downstairs bathroom left a smell sometimes.

    A pleasant stay overall

It was an excellent location. It was spotlessly clean inside.

The bath was very high and located downstairs off the kitchen. The stairs would be an issue for someone with mobility issues.

Lovely stay - nice host, fab location and very relaxing

Lovely cottage. Great location. Relaxing. Nice courtyard

It would have been a nice touch to have had tea and coffee with milk (even if long life milk in the small containers).

Really only just a bed for the night.

Bedding was great quality - crips, clean white sheets, comfy mattresses. Good sleep. Good location, very close to town centre.

I'm sorry to leave this review. This is a VERY small property and it's in need of an upgrade. There isn't any care shown in the guest experience (other than the beds, which are fab). The stairs are close to being dangerous. One of our party was an elderly lady - the stairs are tight and small and carpeted in a slippery carpet. Picking up the keys down an alley in the dark isn't ideal. THe simple things are missing - that could easily be fixed. E.g. a shower curtain in 2025 (yuck). No matching mugs, Things that show care has been taken for this property. Overall, this is NOT value for money and it just smacks of a corporate host taking guests for granted. We've stayed in Henley annually for a while and this was a disappointment.
