Fantastic food and comfortable stay
Room was clean, available early and furnished well. Location was perfect for our purposes. Dinner & breakfast was excellent and all staff were friendly. Second time staying here so will definitely be back.

Hopping mad after staying hare/here!
The location for me was good as I was attending a funeral and this was best placed.
I didn't like my check-out. Apart from breakfast which was included in my room rate, I didn't eat at the Hopping Hare as arrangements for food had already been made. However, on checking out, I was advised I owed £44something for food from the previous night. I was absolutely gobsmacked. The lady asked me if I'd had the food, and after I'd confirmed I hadn't, she then said she'd look into what had happened. No apology. Not even from the guy who was stood next to her (who I assume was the owner?). I was made to feel like a criminal - like I'd eaten the food but was trying to get away with not paying. I was not happy at all and am still not. So please be very, very careful if you decide to stay here, you may end up with a bill that isn't yours/charged for something you never had. I wouldn't stay again.
