    We had a wonderful time here and would highly recommend. Staithes is beautiful and Dotty's Retreat is a perfect place to stay. Right in the heart of the lower village with the sea visible from the bedrooms, it's exceptionally clean, comfortable and welcoming. For a small village, there is a great selection of places to eat and other independent shops, plus lovely walks.

    Didn't dislike anything! But obviously be aware of the very steep access into and out of the village.

    Comfy and well located

    Good location but difficult to get luggage to/from front door due to narrow streets and extremely step hill out to Council car park. Closer to harbour and local pubs. Two separate double bedrooms with own bathrooms. Very homely lounge. Great kitchen, but it was needed as nowhere to get breakfast was open.

    No air conditioning. Not usually a problem in North Yorkshire, but summer was VERY hot this year.
