  Very much enjoyed location of apartment and facilities

  Made our own breakfast

  The water tap in the bathroom, without a bath, dribbled water but water was cold. The thermostat valve in the other bedroom was stuck at zero degrees and needs replacing.

  A cosy cottage in a great location.

  A lovely cosy, spacious and well decorated cottage in perfect location. Everything was within easy walking distance - we didn’t need to use the car at all whilst we were there. There is designated off road parking, which meant we didn’t need to worry about finding a parking space. It was great for either a family or two couples as both bedrooms had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed - there was even a dishwasher and washing machine. The owners were easy to contact and very responsive. We’ve already booked to stay again!

  There was a little road noise in the living area and front bedroom but it didn’t really bother us too much and was quieter over night. The radiator in the twin bedroom didn’t seem to heat up with the rest of the radiators. It wasn’t an issue while we were there but may need checking before winter. A few of the plates and mugs were chipped, but I reported these to the owners, so hopefully will be replaced.

  Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay and do not feel the accommodation currently meets the high standards advertised. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, with TVs constantly buffering or unable to connect. You couldn’t use the Wi-Fi on your phones if wanting to watch TV. The single mattress was uncomfortable and badly dipped, the front door handle was falling off, and the carpets were heavily stained in bedroom. The biggest concern was the bathrooms, where there was a noticeable smell of mould, visible mould and moisture damage causing peeling wallpaper, and a heavily dust-clogged extractor fan. The bathrooms would benefit from proper cleaning, sealing, redecoration and improved ventilation. The living room seating was uncomfortable with two hard chairs and an old sofa. Although the kitchen was described as fully stocked, it felt only basically equipped and lacked a variety of glasses. It would for the price be nice to have unwatered down liquid soap and kitchen roll. The advertised outside space also appeared to be little more than a bin area and was not somewhere inviting to sit or relax. The property requires attention and maintenance to justify being advertised as luxury or high-quality accommodation. We gave the owner the opportunity to respond before leaving a review but are still waiting a reply. Based on our experience, we would currently find it difficult to recommend this property to others.

  Der Türschließmechanismus war veraltet und hat geklemmt.
