  weather was good, apartment was well located

  no food was included, location was very good, very quite until the last night

  internet connection was down, so we were limited on television programs, one television did not work at all. there was no hooks on doors and no shelf in bathroom. only one hand towel and one tea towel. No shower gel. Had to do some washing of the crockery before we could use it

  The location with parking space was great. Out door court yard great.

  No wifi for our whole stay which also ment NO tv apps or channels other than basic tv stations. 1 bedroom tv which ran on wifi only so we couldn't use at all ( my mother hardly sleeps so this was not good). I Called info adviser who contacted owner who knew internet was down before we arrived but didn't notify us. I run an online booking system for my business.... Also it states ground floor apartment but has over 10 steps to get up to the front door from car parking bay. My mother has severe breathing problems so I had to dismantle her mobility scooter and put in the car each return which we limited out goings so not to cause her distress and breathlessness.

  Nice short break in an interesting old fishing town

  Modern studio style flat with a really good location and parking. There are some nice touches to make it feel more homely, and there were things like an air fryer and Nespresso that we hadn't expected. There are some nice outside seating areas with night lighting. Clearly, some love has gone into it. We enjoyed our stay. It was generally clean, warm and comfortable. Thanks very much!

  Annoying that we were told the WiFi was broken only after booking. Apparently we can claim a discount, which is being handled by Host & Stay, but not great when you don't have unlimited mobile data! It also meant the TV in the second bedroom was useless because it was only connected to the internet. On the other hand, there are some maintenance issues. The bollard for the parking space has been run-over (not by us!) and is lying under the outside staircase. The bathroom fan doesn't work, and because the window doesn't open it's getting damp. It probably explains why the radiator is getting rusty. Some of the paintwork needs re-doing. The toilet was clean, but the underside of the seat is stained brown. Could do with being replaced. The large hairdryer didn't work and smells burnt-out. There was a travel hairdryer that did work, however. Probably ought to remove the large one for safety. Whilst rummaging through the appliance manuals in one of the kitchen cupboards, we found two letters for the owner. I suspect mail isn't getting back to the owner and may explain why the internet was turned off. This probably sounds a bit negative, but it's mainly to let the owner know how well it's being maintained. It's obviously cleaned regularly, but could do with occasional deep cleaning to make it top-notch.

  Weekend in Whitby

  The apartment was lovely. Also the outside space was ideal for the dogs. The kitchen was fully equipped. The only thing we thought was that a booklet or something should be there to explain how to work appliances, eg the coffee machine. Would stay there again.

  Unfortunately the WiFi wasn't working - again! This is the third Host and Stay property we have stayed in that promised WiFi throughout and it wasn't working. Obviously this also meant we weren't able to take advantage of all the apps on the tv. Eg Netflix. I would have given it a 5* rating if the WiFi had been working.

  Nearly very good

  Close to town centre. Quiet backstreet location. Reserved parking available but not secured by a collapsable post and sometimes taken by neighbouring properties. Property clean, well fitted kitchen (including coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine though none needed in our short stay). The block has five other properties but we experienced very little external noise. Easy to access on arrival. Bathroom clean.

  Property advertises wi-fi internet, netflix. The Internet connection did not work (thus no tv also) and was reported within the hour. Nothing was done to fix this during our entire stay. There seemed to be a lack of interest from the management company. The QR code provided to go to the online property guide is not correctly formatted either. No toiletries were provided in the bathroom.
