Just loved the location, near to bars and restaurants.
My room wasn't cleaned on the one day, I left my sign out to do it but just wasn't done so had no shampoos or shower gel left. Not a major problem and certainly won't stop me going back

Very disappointed we chose to leave after one night and stayed with friends in Altea
On arrival to the the hostel nobody was at reception to greet us, there was a bell on the counter which we rang and a man came from the back room shouting at us. Don’t put a bell on your reception counter if you don’t want guests to ring it. He the barked at us in a very abrupt manner shouting no drinking in the room, no eating in the room, one strike and I call the police and you’re out! I have never in my life experienced such shocking hospitality ever. The room was spotlessly clean but the smallest darkest room painted grey with one very small frosted window above the the overlooking a brick wall. There is no light, no kettle or facilities to make drink in the morning, not even a paper bin. The building works going on is noisy and atrocious which is not the hostels fault but added to our disappointment. We stayed one night then left for 3 out of 5 night stay to stay with friends as it was just horrible environment. The management stinks and is very very unwelcoming and the room we were allocated gave off exclusive prison cell vibes. I would not recommend and would never stay again! The description and pictures of this place are not true to form and to top things off, check out is 11am but the made came barging in at 9.50 without knocking whilst we where in bed still sleeping.
The owners stinking Antony attitude barking rules like we were 2 teenagers, we’re nearly 50 and came for a quiet civilised break, no kettle no bin room was dark and depressing

Great location despite some noise
Location is nice, rooms are spacious and kept very well clean.
Bathroom would smell a bit of sewage in the mornings. Lots of outside noise and thin walls, not helpful with music playing outside until 3am (maybe because of bank holiday?)
