    Comfortable one night stay

    We had a lovely one night stay at this comfortable hotel in mid-October 2026. Aurora Towers has a prime location is in the crazy busy Camp area. The area is bursting with shops and restaurants, plenty of street food and street shopping. There is a large mall and a Dorabjee's right around the corner. There is incessant honking, street noise and traffic, yet once you enter the lobby, its an oasis of calm. It was fun to rise up to the 9th floor in the glass elevator and look down on the streets below and the rest of the squat buildings. The rooms are large, old-fashioned with heavy wooden furniture, but very comfortable. Two 1 liter bottles of complimentary mineral water, kettle and tea/coffee supplies welcomed us. Bathroom was large and had soap, shampoo, conditioner and even a dental kit. Powerful AC and a mini fridge in the room. A generous breakfast buffet was included with made-to-order eggs and dosas/uttapams. Piping hot masala chai and nescafe, a good selection of fruits and several indian vegetarian items, also kheema pav.  The gym had the refreshing scent of mew rubber and the equipment looked brand new. We were particularly pleased with their large secure basement parking, a luxury in the area, as we prefer to self-park. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, including the service staff at breakfast. A specially shout-out to Rohidas who took us to our rooms and Amreen at Reception who smilingly allowed a late checkout.

    An area for improvement is house-keeping. Bedsheet had a stain, dust bunnies behind the bedside tables (which get noticed because you need to access plugpoints), and a hastily cleaned bathroom with soap drips left behind. Also they did not have an iron to provide on request, a very basic amenity. Gym needs to open earlier, 7am is very late.
