Don’t stay here!
Nothing on this stay. The total opposite of my previous visits which have been many over the past two years.
Absolutely nothing worked. I went into my room and the air conditioning was going but the temperature in the room was 100 degrees. I had to haul my bag back downstairs to get another room. The staff was so disinterested in helping me I was shocked. He never gave me the WiFi password either. I had to ask for a bottle of water that they used to offer you. The second room was cool but the toilet didn’t work well. I had driven 420 miles and was exhausted and didn’t want a third room. The beds that used to be so comfortable are now not there. I must have got an older bed. I found out in the morning that the plugs were not working either. When I tried to charge my phone before I went to breakfast it wouldn’t work. That caused me to leave on a trip of driving another 420 miles with a phone less than half charged. I rely on that phone for my navigation. The breakfast was okay but the staff never brought me silverware or water. I selected my own silverware from the staff area myself. I was shocked as this used to be the best part of the stay. I still tipped the staff as my mother was a waitress. As I checked out I asked for a manager to let them know how disappointed I was with my stay. She came out with an attitude and refused to address the issue. This was Labor Day at 9:30am. I plugged my phone into a plug in the lobby and waited to get at least 50% charge. I witnessed the manager treat the African American customers completely the opposite way and that I had just experienced reverse discrimination. This hotel used to be my go to hotel in Springfield as I’m a businesswoman and travel frequently. This stay changed everything. I will never stay here again. You should know this before reserving a room here.
