    Super, ausergewöhnlicher Burgbick, sehr erholsam

    Wir waren zu Dritt in einem piccobello sauberen Zimmer und hatten einen wunderbaren Bkick auf die Burg Lichtenberg. Von Thallichtenberg aus konnten wir sehr schöne Wanderungen zur Burg, nach Kusel und zur Remigiusburg machen. Unser Nachbartisch wanderte den Preußensteig. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und wir hätten dort auch essen können, was wir aber bei der Buchung übersehen hatten und daher anderweitig essen waren. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, wir in einem großen Hotel und mit sehr leckeren lokalen Spezialitäten etwas ganz besonderes. Vielen Dank an Familie Eder!

    Zeit nehmen für's Frühstück

    Sehr bemerkenswert ist sowohl Umfang als auch die Qualität des Frühstücks: absolut Spitze (selbstgebackenes Brot, hausgemachte Wurstsorten, alle Arten von Aufstrichen und Belag, Warm- und vor allem Kaltgetränke in ungewohnt umfangreicher Auswahl).

    Ein Teil der Zimmer zur Parkplatzseite KÖNNEN etwas laut sein, sofern sich andere Gäste auf der Terrasse oder beim Weg vom/zum Parkplatz etwas zu lautstark unterhalten.

    Rude and unwelcoming

    Nothing, really.

    Rude and unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. The rooms were basic, sparse, hot, and stuffy. The hosts couldn't care less about their guests' comfort, in 90 degree temps, they couldn't even be bothered to open a window. Nothing to eat in their restaurant unless you're a meat eater. There is nothing in this town but the castle, so you'll have to drive 15-20 minutes to go get a meal or a decent cup of coffee. They have a coffee machine in the room, but the pods they provide are the cheap generic, truly awful coffee. The hotel is non-smoking, but we had cigarette smoke wafting into our room regularly because the owners' apartment was right next to our room. Now for the most unpleasant part... We reserved online, and check in at 7 pm was noted on their website and in the reservation confirmation, check out however is not mentioned anywhere but on a 12 point font card tucked between the beds, (aggressively pointed out AFTER the host verbally abused our entire family), not mentioned at check in, and not on their website (we looked for it) so, when 10 am struck, the host came banging on the door like she had a warrant, proceeded to scream at my daughters, who explained that we didn't know check out was at 10, and let her know we needed to check out at noon. We packed up as quickly as we could, but not fast enough for this not-so-charming lady... she was back with her warrant and then graced me with her foulness too. Don't stay here... honestly, so much better can be had.
