    A wonderful historical building converted very sympathetically into a hotel. Lots of original features - some under glass even the floor. There was a well under glass on the entrance to our room!

    We arrived mid afternoon and parked outside the building, only to be told to move immediately. We were directed to go to a nearby street where we found a space but had to pay, we had no change so asked at reception if she could change a €10 note but she refused. Later we saw cars parked outside with permits inside their windscreen saying " guests of Hotel Carmine". Why were not offered this? Also we were on the ground floor room 4. The window is so high you can only see the sky through it. It was cold and we had to ask for a blanket as none where provided.
