Good but can do better
The hotel was very clean and close to everything if Zocalo is not your only focus. It has a swimming pool and the breakfast is good
I stayed in two rooms during my stay, one on the 3rd floor and my ne on the ground floor. Avoid the upper floors because they don’t have hot water! I did not like having to bring my plates back after breakfast. When you pay the amount of money they are asking for you should not have to do that. I did not think the staff was particularly friendly.

Séjour très agréable à la Casa de la tia terre. La piscine était chauffée, la nourriture très bien, ainsi que très bien situé. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

The bed was huge and the room and bathroom were spacious. The breakfast terrace was a very pleasant place to eat overlooking the pool. We didn't take advantage of the pool but it seemed clean, well maintained, and we saw several others using it. Breakfast was good with yoghurt and cereal, orange juice, fruit, coffee and a choice of two hot items per day
The rooms were a bit dark - our main window looked over the common passageway to other rooms so we couldn't keep the curtains open, and where we did have privacy we couldn't open the curtains because of their design. We also had only tepid water (at best) for showers which might be fine in the height of summer but we still had cool mornings and evenings so it made showering a bit unpleasant. They were very strict about check-in time. We took the overnight bus from Mex City and they took our bags at 7am, but when we can back at 1:40pm to see if we could check-in they told us to wait 20 mins. Bed was quite hard.
