Regretful stay
location is fantastic. Near to the Seine river, Louvre and many other attractions. There is also a Proxi minimart steps away and a Monoprix supermarket a few minutes walk away. I stayed in the junior suite and the room size is good for us and our 2 big luggages. The staff are polite and most do try to accommodate our wants. They provide free drinking water and we could refill our bottle anytime from their water dispenser.
We are 2 females. we arrived on the day where it was hot & sunny in Paris.. i had a shock when i entered the room and it was hot and the aircon is spoilt. The staff said it couldn’t be fix on that day and needed to wait next day. I ask for a fan and they don’t have any. They ask me to open the window. It didn’t help at all, the room was still stuffy as it was in the afternoon. I initially wanted to rest in the room for a while as i had a migraine but was unable to as it was too hot. Hence i was ‘forced’ to go out. Luckily the temp at night became cold and cooled the room. The bed was alright but the pillows are super uncomfortable & too hard. They hired external contractor to fix the aircon. And they gave them masterkey to go in the rooms. It was around 4pm/5pm we decided to go back room to rest. And because it was too hot in the room, i took off my pants (i was basically half naked). The aircon workers tried to unlock the door to come in! I could see them unlocking the lock, and the lock was turning and i was shouting at them to stop. I tried to call the reception to report what happen but something is wrong with the phone. I couldn’t hear any dialtone, no sound at all. Hence i had to go down to reception. The staff on duty wasn’t apologetic at all. They just in a matter of fact tone said the workers made a mistake, they should have check with them first before going into any room. Then i said my room phone is spoilt. And she said cannot be, ask me try again. The next day i told another staff about the spoilt phone, and they said no it’s working bcoz they could see on their switchphone i was calling. Then i said i really cannot hear anything on my end. And they just insist it’s my problem and don’t bother to go up my room to show me how to use the phone (if it was really working well). Another negative point is their housekeeping room service. Every day i go out either at 8am or 9am and i will return to hotel near 4pm and it is not clean yet.
