Lovely relaxing stay, in a beautiful hotel with attentive staff.

The hotel is in a fabulous location overlooking the beach and close to the old town. The building is beautiful with some stunning architectural features. The room had a comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a powerful shower and Rituals toiletries.

There was nothing we could fault.

Retro ambience, but very positive impression

Central location with entrances/exits on both opposite sides of the building - one leading directly to the beach / waterfront and another one - into the streets of the city (does not sound very special, but in fact it is extremely convenient). The twin room was spacious, beds were standing more or less together, but had separate blankets, so it was OK. The matrasses were very comfortable. The room had older furniture / ambience, but this somehow looked nice Bathroom had a proper door separating it from the main room (in case you value bathroom / toilet privacy as much as I do :-D). The shower had a solid sliding door (no spilling of water). Apart from the towels you get bathrobes and slippers. The room had a stone floor - not extremely cozy (and not extremely clean), but it was ok Breakfast was amazing - it was a bit unusual as it is "menu-type" (i.e. main breakfast dishes are listed on the menu - you choose whatever you prefer, no additional price to pay, it is then brought to you; smaller things like pastry or bread, coffee, tea and sweets you can take yourself from the buffet), but very high quality of food, delicious.

only two things. #1 is only relevant if you come with a car and need to park it in the hotel's garage - it is located in another building, very close to the hotel, BUT driving into it and parking there is a nightmare. Narrow entrance leading then down to the basement floor with 90 degree turn in the middle (i literally mean 90 degree - not a curve or a spiral). Even for experienced drivers on a regular SUV it was a big challenge. Parking lots are narrow, lots of columns on the parking floor. If you have an option to avoid it and park somehwere outside (even if it requires some walking and extra pay) - I would recommend it. If you come with Fiat 500, then ignore my complaints - they are not relevant for you :-) #2 sleeping with open windows (at least in a room facing the square) is not really possible due to noise during more or less the whole night from happy people loudly enjoying the wonderful small town ;-D go for the A/C and close the windows
