It was a nice old mountain hotel very close to center of village. The staff were pleasant and breakfast was good.
Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the room, as soon as we entered we noticed a very strong smell, especially in the bathroom. I thought this was from a cleansing product and as we were late we just left our bags and went to see the village and find a restaurant for our evening meal. However when we returned we realized the smell was not decreasing but emanating into the bedroom too. We woke up during the night because there were flying insects in the bed and by morning i had several bites on my leg. We came to the conclusion that the strong cleansing smell was probably disinfectant to get rid of these insects. I complained at the desk and was told i should have complained the evening before and ask for a different room but when we realized how bad the situation was it was too late to do that. We did not receive an apology which upset me as personally I think a room in that condition should not be made available for guests. I’m sorry to leave this bad review as everything else was fine.
