    Warm welkom in Hotel Gernika

    Bij de ingang staat een klein kunstwerk met de tekst “Homenaje al peregrino” — een eerbetoon aan de pelgrim. Dat gevoel van welkom merkte ik meteen: ik kwam een uurtje eerder aan, maar mijn kamer was al gereed. Een fijne extra service. De mevrouw bij de receptie was vriendelijk en behulpzaam; ze wees de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden aan op een kaartje en zorgde voor een warm ontvangst. De kamer was rustig, schoon en comfortabel, met een goed bed en een prettige badkamer. Het hotel ligt op loopafstand van de bezienswaardigheden in het centrum, waardoor alles makkelijk bereikbaar is. Ik heb genoten van een fijn en ontspannen verblijf, met een welkom dat precies past bij de geest van de Camino.

    Viðmót starfsmanna var með ólíkindum skrýtið, ég hafði pantað þarna 8 herbergi og fékk mjög lélega þjónustu, .það fannst ekki lykillinn að mínu herbergi og starfsmaðurinn lét í það skína að við værum samt sem áður með hann. Ég var svo ánægð að geta loks fengið herbergi á Hotel Gernika en þjónustan var mjög slæm. Þarna voru m.a. tvær eða þrjár eldri konur sem voru algjörlga gjörsneyddar allri þjónustulund.

    Impecable.

    Las personas trabajadoras muy amenas. La ubicación y el parking geniales. En la cama cada persona tebia dos almohadas. Había desayuno seco. Todo muy bien.
