Faded from its glory days, but a pleasant stay and excellent onsen in a beautiful setting.
The room had all of the necessary things and a few extras including a small TV, mini fridge, and full bath. The futons were fine. the size of the room was appropriate. The lobby had a really cool feature of an outdoor scene with coy fish and a waterfall. It was very pleasant. There were vending machines, including a coffee vending machine on site. There was a small store in the lobby with local goods. The onsen was really beautiful. Both indoor and outdoor onsens were large and had beautiful natural features. The staff was very helpful. The location was fantastic as it was on "Sakura Hot Springs Street" and we were there during the peak blossom time. (We did not eat at the hotel)
The hotel is old and not renovated. The elevator was very smelly. The rooms are a bit shabby, but everything was clean and smelled fine.
