  HEAVEN near Chania at Hotel Kleopatra!

  What I LOVE about Hotel Kleopatra: Kleri the owner: her hospitality, kindness, thoughtfulness, attention to her beautiful boutique, pension-style hotel's detail, her gardening, her little gifts (her own olive oil, homemade liquors, fruits and vegetables, avocados, pomegranates, her helper Alexandria, the housekeeping. I go again and again to Kleri's hotel BECAUSE it feels like home (I'm from Ireland). The lovely mediteranean colours she chooses for walls, doors, the abundance and variety of planting, quiet. Plus a 3 minute walk to the beach, Maria's Taverna and the little oasis of Stalos--only 10 mins by bus (€2) or 40 min walk along sea west of Chania! Also there are lovely lower mountain walks like up to Plano Stalos (only 3km round trip)--enjoying the smell of wild basil, rosemary, cactus flowers & fruit AND pomegranates !!

  I LOVE EVERYTHING about Hotel Kleopatra: this is why I go back year after year after year. Would highly recommend especially to solo traveling women because of the family atmosphere and Kleri's presences, care and attention. Also Stalos Beach is 3 minute walk away. Stalos is about a 15 minute walk to Agia Marina--but I prefer Stalos with its restaurants: Maria's Taverna, Kimatogi, Nektar Beach, Tres Jolie cafe (a patisserie and coffee shop) also only 3 minutes walk away. PERFECT. And Chania is a 10 minute, €2 bus ride away.

  KLEOPATRA's Kleri is best hotel hostess in Crete!

  1. Kleri the owner who is very kind, caring, efficient and a great gardener, proprietress. The room had a fabulous balcony view of sea. Large bedroom with all I needed: kettle, fridge, stovetop, table for eating, separate table for computer (if so inclined), great bed, great cleaning service. Kleri really takes pride in her boutique hotel business and has many, many returning guests from around the globe who lend a great atmosphere in the 30 room Cretan escape only short distance west from Chania town.

  There wasn't one thing I didn't like. Kleri anticipates your arrival by leaving small welcoming gifts for visitors: sometimes fruit, or avocados, flowers--all from her surrounding stunning potted and planted garden. The hotel is like an Arab riad, centred around a gorgeous courtyard. There is also a spacious rooftop if with sun beds and sea views if you don't fancy the 3 minute walk to the beach! ;) Shops, a great grocery store, many fab restaurants also 3 mins away (Maria's taverna and Kimotogi are particularly good with great hosts Kristo in Marias' and Yannis in Kimotogi. Highly recommend AWAY from high rise resort Crete yet still near Chania town by 10min bus should you choose to visit.

  Das Haus befand sich in einer ruhigen Lage und war sehr liebevoll mit vielen unterschiedlichen Pflanzen dekoriert .Unser Appartement wurde täglich gesäubert und liebevoll hergerichtet .Unser Es hatte mehrere Balkone,so konnten wir morgens und abends den passenden wählen. Dazu war die Vermieterin sehr freundlich, aufgeschlossen und gastfreundlich. Wir hatten dort einen sehr schönen entspannten Urlaub und haben auch die Vermieterin in dieser Zeit in unser Herz geschlossen. Wir können allen einen Urlaub im Kleopatra nur empfehlen.
