Depressing and over priced - basic and drab and seen better days.

The pool area is lovely, and the only reason you would book this hotel. Saint Paul de Vence is the most beautiful and vibrant village - but a long walk from this hotel, hilly and unsafe (no footpaths) and dark when returning at night. If you really want to see Saint Paul de Vence and enjoy it, stay in the village itself, the cost wasn't that much more than we paid for this place. The accommodation was so drab, we left this hotel and booked into Le Saint Paul, in the middle of the village, spectacular 5 star hotel, and the extra cost was so worth it, the highlight of our French trip.

I would consider the accommodation, at best, 2 star, it may have been a 3 star when it was built in the 70s. Clean (strong smell of bleach on entering both our accommodations and the hotel itself) but very basic. Very drab and worn. We paid €1260 for 4 nights (no breakfast) so my expectations were shattered when I saw the apartment. We asked could we have a partial refund, even just one night refund, but they wouldn't hear of it. They offered do downgrade (!) us to room which was basic and drab. €315 a night should get you much more!
