Great location and staff, noise issues were annoying, but overall pleased with stay
Amazing location, close to everything - multiple metro stops (including direct to Orly airport), walking distance to major attractions (Louvre, Musee de'Orsay, Tuileries, etc.). Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the few central Paris hotels that had 2 twin beds, rather than a queen/full, which was great for traveling with child. Room size was decent for Paris, bathroom was fine. Nothing fancy but feel like it was a good value compared to other places in the neighborhood.
Room was noisy, both from street noise and from internal noises like plumbing sounds in the hotel. The a/c made an awful drilling sound, even when turned off, which kept us up at night. It was eventually fixed, but we lost 2 nights of sleep. We couldn't get hot water one of our nights there (but other nights were fine).

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a good overall experience. The location is terrific, and the historic building itself is special. It was humbling to have the opportunity to stay in a building with so much history. We would especially like to recognize the front desk staff. They were attentive throughout the night, checking on everyone entering the premises, and were consistently friendly. Based on our experience, it seems the hotel has made noticeable improvements compared to some of the older reviews. The AC worked perfectly, and the housekeeping staff did a good job.
The room was extremely small, but given the location and the nature of Parisian hotels, we were willing to overlook that. One important consideration is the staircase. As other guests have mentioned, the stairs are quite steep and can be challenging, especially when carrying luggage.
