  10/10 — Thoughtful Design, Exceptional Functionality, and Outstanding Value We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Kyoto. Our room, measuring a little over 300 square feet, was thoughtfully designed, with nearly every inch put to good use. While we struggled a little to find space to open our two small carry-on suitcases, that’s understandable given Japan’s space constraints, especially considering the reasonable room rate. What impressed me most was the hotel’s approach to hospitality. Much of the service was automated or self-service, yet nothing felt lacking. Extra towels, pajamas, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other essentials were readily available without having to ask. Even exchanging towels was simple: just leave the soiled ones outside the room for a fresh set. The hotel seemed to operate with an abundance mindset, anticipating guests’ needs rather than making them request every little thing. The in-room laundry setup was particularly impressive. An easy-to-operate washing machine came with detergent, eight hangers, and a hanging rack with clips for smaller items. The shower room doubled as a drying room, complete with a ceiling vent, hanging bar, and heating function. Most clothes could dry overnight, making laundry remarkably convenient. The compact kitchen was another welcome feature, equipped with basic utensils, a refrigerator, microwave, small stovetop, and electric kettle. We made good use of the kettle to prepare coffee and tea purchased from local stores. The location was excellent. Tucked away in a quiet alley off the main street, the hotel was within walking distance of shopping malls, grocery stores, coffee shops, subway stations, and several attractions. Another thoughtful gesture was having our stored luggage delivered to our room before we checked in.

  Great place and convenient location in Kyoto

  Absolutely fabulous aparthotel. We had 5 nights and it was pretty much perfect in terms of location and comfort. Walkable to the old district and some key shrines and temples and a metro station around 5 minutes walk. There are loads of restaurants and convenience stores nearby and even a proper supermarket very close by on the main road. It was really great to have a washing machine and the bathroom has a clothes drying system built in, so clothes dry easily overnight. It is a very quiet location and we slept very well. Lovely staff - we arrived early and as our room was ready they gave us an early check in which really helped us. We would be very happy to return and would certainly to recommend Hotel Mondonce.

  Tolles Hotel und tolle Lage

  Alles bestens. Die Lage war einfach super und das die Mitarbeiter sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Zimmer war angenehm groß. Die Lage ist super. Sehr ruhig gelegen aber trotzdem sofort mittendrin. 7/11 , Lawson alles in der Nähe. Gute Anbindung zu einigen sights und Osaka.

  Ein Teebeutel oder Instantkaffee wäre schön gewesen. Es war das einzige Hotel dass das nicht hatte und irgendwie gewöhnt man sich daran. Aber kein wirklicher Kritikpunkt eher eine Anmerkung
