    Overall pleasant hotel

    Good ambience. Breakfast not bad. Good location. EV charging convenient but a bit pricey. TV good choice of channels.

    Small room compared with many other hotels I have stayed in. Mattress very hard and on verge of uncomfortable.

    Very bad experience

    Nothing. Horrible experience, rude stuff. Looks nothing like the pictures very old and outdated felt very dirty, we left within one minute of coming in even though we reserved and paid as it was so bad.

    Old, rude staff, not clean and nothing like in the photos.

    Hotel Piccola Vela is a clean, comfortable "old fashioned" resort with friendly service.

    This is a very nice hotel that is clean and comfortable yet it could use a few updates. The staff were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast had a nice variety of options. The location is good - just across the street from Lake Garda - and a quick 10 minute walk into the town of Desenzano del Garda. Free parking in an underground garage is included which was a nice perk. There are 2 pools which we didn't get to use but they looked nice and had ample chairs around for lounging.

    The bathrooms could use an update. There are only hand-held showers in a large tub which was very slippery so you need to be careful not to fall getting in or out of the tub. There was no way to control the AC in our room so we just left the windows open at night for a breeze which was fine since the weather at night was cool. Had it been a hot summer night, it would have been a problem.

    Fabulous

    As a Family we had an amazing time. The staff went above and beyond and all very polite and professional. The garden room we stayed in was very comfortable and everything and everywhere was immaculately clean and the room servicing was don beautifully with special little personal touches. Paulo the restaurant and bar manager was exceptionally attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Location is great especially if wanting to travel by train to other areas as we did.
