Everything was OK until the earthquake revealed their real attitude towards their guests.
My wife and I were in the Hotel Presidente during the recent earthquake in Panama. When the earthquake stopped, the entire crew at the hotel bailed out. Not a word, or a note on the door, just completely abandoned their "guests." I had left the hotel to pick up laundry a short distance away before the earthquake struck. I returned to check on my wife and found her alone in the hotel. To add insult to injury, we were charged for the night that we were scheduled as our last night, but we were chased out of the hotel by our "rescuers" and the hotel was locked up behind a barred gate.
