Lovely staff, palace tired and in need of upgrade.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, bed comfortable. Quiet location.
I felt the property was very tired. It needs some work. The gardens were all over grown and lots of weeds. The pool had green on the steps. The place would be amazing with a bit of an upgrade. Expensive for what you got. I was in the spa room.

Ambiente calmo e confortável onde se mergulha um pouco na nossa história.
Pequeno almoço excelente, muito variado e de ótima qualidade. Funcionários atentos e muito prestáveis. Adoramos a oferta da visita guiada às fontes e jardim após o pequeno almoço.
Termos ficado só uma noite e não podermos aproveitar mais o hotel e os espaços envolventes.

Comfortable hotel full of rich history.
We enjoyed the atmosphere of the old building for dinner (with a shelf full of old books within reach) and the good breakfast. We stayed in the new building, in a large and comfortable room. We also enjoyed the decent-sized pool. The tour of the garden in the morning was very informative.
