A truly positive experience, and definitely one I would be happy to repeat!
From the moment I checked in, the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive. During dinner, I particularly appreciated the warmth, kindness, and professionalism of the team, who made the whole experience truly enjoyable. Breakfast was equally pleasant, with great care and attention to detail. Overall, although my stay was short, it was a very enjoyable experience, thanks above all to the genuine hospitality and professionalism of the entire staff. A truly positive experience, and definitely one I would be happy to repeat!

A wonderfully genuine hotel that reminds you what great hospitality looks like
Hotel Rauter is a wonderful example of old-school hospitality in the best possible sense. The moment you enter the lobby, it feels like a proper hotel: beautiful, atmospheric, full of character and exceptionally well maintained. I learned from the owner that the hotel has been in the same family for 12 generations, since the 1600s, and somehow you can genuinely feel that history, care and pride throughout the entire place. The spa facilities are excellent, with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam bath, infrared sauna and relaxation areas, all beautifully maintained and with fantastic mountain views. Breakfast is equally impressive, with a huge choice and an extraordinary amount of attention to detail. Most importantly, the staff are genuinely helpful and welcoming. I've stayed here twice now, and for the price this hotel offers exceptional value. There may be newer or more luxurious hotels, but very few have this much character, warmth and genuine hospitality.
Some of the older rooms are somewhat dated in their decoration and furnishings, so if you are looking for ultra-modern interiors they may not immediately impress you. That said, my older room was spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable, had a beautiful view and a modern bathroom. More importantly, even the older parts of the hotel are exceptionally well cared for. To me, the age adds more charm than it takes away.
